There is no technology URM at the moment. Intel's problems are so deep and problematic I'd be shocked some industry leader would take it.

Think about it what is Intel's core strength; x86 architecture and x86 manufacturing.

If you dig beneath the surface there are lots of huge weakness, where do I begin.

1) The process as strong as it seems is very narrow in capability. The last few generations have been first and ground breaking in leadership but an absolute failure in manufacturing anything but x86. One could debate how good is it really if Foundry can't get any single product out on 22nm or 14nm. Either it really isn't that great or to TI products is so burdensome that it ain't worth it. Then who'd want that albatross, easier to go to TSMC or other foundry and not have to deal with the heavy burden of the Intel cost structure

2) Design, lets be serious, intel has NO competition for the past few generations, all they do is x86. Their attempt to port to a competitive Tablet or Phone was spectacular. It was spectacular in cost and failure. If the process and design were so good why wan't Intel over the last three nodes and billions spent able to even field a competitive product, it wasn't competitive by any benchmark. So was it process or the terrible design

Now on the other hand who wouldn't want to run a 50 billion dollar company that generate almost 10 billion in profits. But look at PSO his reputation is garbage, he maybe rich but he failed as a leader of Intel. BK is well on the same track, the company may implode before he gets fired, if so, who in their right mind would want it. Even Murthy probably and his Qualcomm minions will jump ship soon as they realize getting Intel design up to snuff isn't as easy as they thought and designing products quickly in Intel process is worse than a nightmare.

The reason we have BK is because the last time around nobody of quality would even consider the job. Smart people wouldn't touch this sinking ship and we got BK BKing it royally!

I think you're directing your comment to the wrong person, @-mtc. (I'm -wkz AND a woman). Just guessing since your response to whomever you're talking to doesn't seem to be about me laughing at -vob's visual of BK using drones to spy on the board's secret board meetings. Sorry, just found that funny and still laughing about it. hahaha

the Progressive controlled board want a URM to advocate their social engineering program of diversity and inclusion.

I hear top running candidates for consideration are: Renee J, Diane B, and Aicha.

Not sure why there are no male URM's on the short list. Maybe they can bring in an outsider like Jesse Jackson or Luis Gutierrez. yeah ... that's the ticket!

LOL -- Renee screwed up the McCafee acquisition. The board doesn't want her back.

Intel will get investment from the Saudi Sovereign wealth fund, US will be a magnet for net global capital.

PADMA WARRIOR, or someone like her or Anil from the BOD will be Transition CEO

They won't tap a ex Intel exec. Our board will look more like GOLDMAN Sachs board

Look for lower capex

I hear that there is indeed secret board meetings but BK keeps finding about them and shows up with drones bringing Mica bracelets and then the board is swayed to keep him and continue watching his reality show

The Board will crawl on their hands and knees begging Renee James back to be the true one CEO. She will decline out of pride and the Board will go with their plan B and offer the CEO role to one Marissa Mayer, poaching the phenomenal talent from Yahoo, who was previously essentially a pioneering member at Google. She will utilize Intel's data center strengths to build huge farms that will process all Google traffic. She will increase earnings by creating a content production division that will produce high-traffic content that she will profit from via click per view model and click baiting by questionable thumbnails.
