The few of us leftover after layoffs are happy to have a job but it is just so stressful. I am swamped and cannot focus because I have to do 3 people work. Seriously thinking about quitting this crap hole. I must have aged 10 years in the past year.

Safety guys are working harder than ever.
Jobs can be found. You have to be open to something you never thought of. I have found a job in another industry and its great, mon thru friday 8-5 and off on weekends and holidays. I do make less, but when you have time to do things with family and time to fix stuff around the house, i spend less money. I have my life back!!
Now that's funny. Apparently you cannot say 'life-s-u-c-k-i-n-g'. LOL
My husband is still employed. The last two years have put such a strain on him, our marriage, and his relationship with our children I really wonder if it's worth it. He has seriously looked elsewhere and keeps coming up empty-handed. The harder we swim, the faster we're drowning. I've been willing to cry 'uncle' for over a year now. We're stuck in such a life-s---ing vicious cycle.
Good luck finding a new job here in Houston. I can't even get an interview. And I'm willing to take up to 20k paycut to get out of Weatherford. There is just nothing out there.

For some reason it is easier to find a job when you have a job.
Don't expect to get better anytime soon. There is no recovery in sight, and, the company is, in my opinion, based on published financials, in severe economic distress. It would probably be a good idea to begin your search while you are still employed.
