@InBuDRI-1etp what kind of positions and are they willing to relocate. Working in some positions is like building Jumbo jets, there are only a few jet airplane manufactures in the world and sadly none are in Az.
Spoke to a recruiter in AZ today. He told me that they are having a hard time placing Intel Employees with >15yrs into positions. Said Employers feel they are too specialized/pigeon holed into work that is useless or not equivalent to years worked.
There is a reason intel for the most part hires prople fresh from school and promotes only those that toe the party line from within they don't know $hit about the outside world.
Hand a RCG PhD a six figure salary and make them work long hours they are fooled into being happy till the titanic slips under the waves. Many other companies are $hitholes to work in but the difference is they are rising versus sinking. Those that stay are playing a game of poker as when to fold or hope they last to retirement. Moore's law is over and Intel process lead is gone and they no longer control the direction of the business like they did even 5 years ago. The fall will be swift!

Intel is a great company to work for. I loved working for them. I love working where I'm at now too. But the OP is right, Intel benefits and pay are excellent.
Work-life balance is non-existent now that everyone still around has to fight a horrendous commute to almost every site. Being able to work from home was much more productive for most people. Quiet, less interruptions, and actually much better than in the office, for most people. Now, with a long commute through really heavy traffic, people arrive at work frustrated and already tired. It's noisy and hard to get any real work done. So then you have to do the work you can't get done in the disruptive environment at home after/before the hours you are required to physically be in the office. This mandate alone was enough to kill work-life balance (and productivity) for a good percentage.
OP has never worked at any good company.

OP - How long ago did you start? Wait until you have several years in or gone through few promos, and you will see that WLB is not that easy. Also it depends what team you are in, factory roles are particularly bad for WLB, although you can get some additional $$$ for on-call/night shift differential, although IMO it's not worth the stress.
