Intel unfortunately has an abysmal M&A track record. And also R&D--they were the first with so many ideas that eventually others capitalized upon. McAfee is one misstep they can't blame on BK. This one is squarely on Renee. In addition to the upfront acquisition price, the internal integration cost has probably been enormous. And now all for naught. Same thing with Infineon and others?
