Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

In recent lite of the layoffs, (all over), Dave Cote said it himself - "At Honeywell you don't have a career you have a job"

Dave is leaving (somewhat), appointed his successor, and is trying to build up his golden parachute. He gave fair warning, although not many took it as such, he did let everyone know this was coming, why else would he pat us on the back all the while reducing medical benefits, reducing layoff benefits, sending more jobs overseas, and penny pinching to the point office supplies can't be ordered!

Can you tell us what parts of ACS or locations and what skills were impacted? I knew of various groups and related work in ACS throughout the years; about a year ago they started this new organization, which pretty much was staffed exclusively from abroad. Curious if the layoff had anything to do with this.....

I was part of the ACS RIF and lost my job. Worked there for over 2 years and spent log days / hours at it, only to be treated like an employee number and let go. Honeywell does not see value in its employees, only a # and you can and will be easily erased, just like me.

Honeywell can't grow forever. The 2017 promise of growth is wearing thin with the investment community. It is very difficult to grow the top line organically and acquisition positive results are a coin flip. What Honeywell can do is continue to cut costs. Unfortunately after punishing suppliers the next step is to crush employees.
