Maybe you are one of those with 30-40 years with the company, which of course was another company, not the one that exists now......Haven't heard many being so grateful, good for you. Most of the people I knew that have been there 5-20 years were miserable, feeling trapped into doing things with no real market value with respect to their skills, some not even being able to plan simple things like buying a car, etc...and on top of that the daily chase of the "...charge number", fake and targeted reviews, etc., etc.,....
I have been grateful to have a career with Honeywell. Most of the years have been very good and I have enjoyed working with all the people. I do feel it is best to have a bigger RIF so there will be no more furloughs for the people left. I know co-workers who have been furloughed and either have to forgo getting their medications or paying their rent. I do feel very sorry for many of these people because they don't have any safety net or reserve and they have kids, grandkids and even their elderly parents to support. Over the past 5 years or so we have had pay cuts (10%), loss of 401K company matching and years of no pay increases. It is a tough situation for many. My only advice is to save your money, control unnecessary spending and get your debt paid off because retirement or layoffs are just around the corner. I have been blessed and appreciate the years I have worked at Honeywell.
I am so fed up with the co that I would not even bother to talk about it
