Alameda HQ shutdown in 2017?
Hearing chatter from Intel sources that the Alameda campus will be shutdown in 2017 as most key technical / mgmt talent have left and/or 'new blood' there in past 5 yrs has been laid off. Not much use for a 30 yr old legacy piece of technology and IoT business that no one is interested in.

The WRS Alameda is the ONLY US office remaining open.
That would be thinking 6 months+ in advance.
I wouldn't put too much faith in it. Always keep your resume up to date though.
They did cartwheels and spent a lot of time and money to buy and then integrate McAfee too. And now they want to get rid of it.
Remember that Intel makes logic, they just don't use it.
Didn't think they'd sell WRS if they put out plans to integrate us. But you could be right. Not much is making sense right now
I'm gonna guess WR could be sold. If not expect site closures and consolidations with other nearby Intel sites.

I am the OP. I'm not an Intel manager. I'm a WRS employee. Sorry for the typo, it was a late night. I copied and pasted my post from the WRS board to here because someone suggested it. I am interested in the perspective of Intel employees.
Just another example of a krzanich-james failure. These two do not have a good track record, and there is no reason why Intel should have maintained their services. Combined, they lost more company reserves than they gained in revenue. Pathetic.
