Thread regarding Baker Hughes Inc. layoffs

Times are getting better - they just recruited a new drill bit director from Tercel going by that email announcement.

Existing employees must be useless when they choose to recruit someone that quit Baker a few years ago.

Shameful act from a shameless leader at Drill Bits. I wonder if he'll bury the entire org in six sigma/lean horseshit like he did when he was head of D&E. Another once great product line headed down the shiiter

Great "leadership" Scott!! Troops won't follow you down the tubes again. You almost ruined Bits before.

Glad I was gone from drill bits before this happened. I do not see the logic, but do see this as a major loyalty blow.

Lol - they recruit someone with proven disloyalty from a minor service company after just laying off senior staff in the woodlands. Smart move for team loyalty and productivity. Great news for SLB though - their lead in bits just got a boost.

And he is probably making significantly more now, than when he left. Usually if you quit and then get rehired, you make more money. Even if you are doing the same job.
