Relocation form?

Is it true that people are being forced to fill a relocation form in certain sites? Heard that questions include yes or no and explain why he employee is not willing to relocate...

Why attach this question to your review? Think about it. You were hired to work at the facility your at. As jobs get posted they can ask on the Job description you need to relocate. The only reason is that they are going to close facilities. And please, no more responses from HR...we know who you are.

This has never been part of the review process in the past...I think some of these post are by Honeywell HR.

China has an older population then the US so re-location may be needed but who wants to go there in a permanent re-location? Puerto Rico's population is also on decline with many moving to the main-land. If Trump gets elected and follows through Honeywell may have seen their hay-day go bye bye.

This is now part of the mid-year review process. They now have to put you in the 9-block and ask about your mobility preferences.

I wouldnt read into it too much, as this has been a standard question I've had to answer on mid-year evaluations at other large corporations that I've worked for in the past.

That includes one corporation who stumbles over itself (to a fault) to let their employees know that they are the most important asset and the company truly cares about the employees well-being, safety, work-life balance, family and career development.

What gets me are the pictograms on the men's bathroom stall doors (Deer Valley) advising people not to stand on the toilet seats when taking a dump. This is truly bizarre - I have traveled quite a bit (Asia, Middle East & Europe) - I have never seen anything like this. There is something seriously wrong with this company.

To the prior responders, There is no benefit in here, so get the stars out of you eyes. As the US (phoenix) Honeywell facilities are lousy with bodies from China and india, and with diminishing expertise to show them the skills they need to develop avionics products. It will be cheaper to send the few remaining US staffers oversea's to finish training them, than it would be to keep the hundreds of EM bodies in US hotels. I think this is the last gasp before the company starts shutting down the remaining facilities in Phoenix and completes the transition of engineering to china and india.

To the last one out, please turn the lights off when you leave.

WOW, I would love that opportunity if offered in Aero. The chance to live and work abroad is not to be missed if you are older without child responsibilities and moderately healthy.

In HPS employees are asked about their willingness to relocate to "mature" and "high growth" regions, and any countries they would be unwilling to relocate to. It sounds like yet another little metric they can use to justify a layoff (refused relocation), especially with older employees.
