You dont think thw new register systems, the kronos scheduler for front end and the new cash up procedures are to keep a 20$ something team leader around with his 2 17$/hour atls??? Its about simplifying and dumbing down that position to go along with the combo team leadership format.the astl will still be at stores but maybe a few less but why stop there when you can cut another TL job

OMG. This can't be true. Why would we have an overpaid ASTL replace a CS TL? Here's an idea --- get rid of the ASTL? My god this company is a mess.

This is a horrible idea.

Can someone comment on the CS team becoming overlooked by an ASTL in the future? I'm not on the front end team but I know my ASTL and I can tell you that would be the last straw for our TMs and a complete disaster. Who are the idiots making these decisions? Is there anyone actually drivin this runaway train?

Everybody should know this by now...When they announced all the latest BS (in my region we were told the night of the last quarterly inventory) it was: combo teams company-wide for stores that do less than $900k/week, combos are SEAF+MEAT and BAKE+PREP and ADMN+FRONT and GROC+WBOD+SPEC, and NO SEVERANCE PERIOD, and also NO MORE TEAM GAINSHARING. There will only be store-wide gainsharing which of course will give us less money on average.

How much gainsharing are they gonna skim off the top with these combined teams?

I think at this point a good portion of us , Especially leadership ,are waiting for the slim chance of severance.. I know I am. I understand it is not hopeful but I have made it this long so what's another 3 months..

It's a delight watching this dumpster fire burn itself out. As a rule of thumb, whenever a corporation gets quasi-religious about being "mission-driven", you know the leadership is full of crap and trying to cover up their apparent incompetence, avoid accountablity and generally act like weasels with all the nepotism, indolence and defensiveness we all experienced dealing with our various regions. If only they just had done the right things all along (like listen to front line TMs, listen to our suggestions rather than dismiss them and hold regional losers accountable). Instead they chose to turn the firm into a stupid quasi-religion while feathering their own nests and puffing out their feathers for Wall Street. As it is, it's clear that the whole core values and conscious capitalism shtick was just a huge front. Well Wall Street stopped playing along about three years ago but there are still quite a few investors who think this thing actually is a good investment. That's because the scale of the clusterfudge has still not hit them. Once these new layoffs and consolidations are announced, and the 365 rah rah has faded, it will hit them and they will mark down this stock like an ugly rug in a clearance bin. Because the fact is, as one other commenter on this site put it recently, THERE IS NO DIFFERENCE between a cucumber from Publix and a cucumber from here.

365? My goodness that's embarrassing. You know you have lost when you have given up on your store brand and to be innovative you simply try to copy Trader Joes. Embarrassing! Everyone knows it too but they just laugh quietlyamong themselves so that they don't have to get a robot TL giving them some kool aid ra-rah speech. The complaining an laughing is getting louder to becuz it seems that most TLs barfed up the kool aid and don't care anymore. I guess they're not all that bad they're just beaten down dogs who have had enuf.

This is becoming ridiculous at this point! Bahahaha! Any1 worth anything will have seen the light and jumped ship to an actual thriving grocery store as opposed to watching this sinking ship disappear. Greedy aloof dumbas5es asleep at the wheel is not a secret to success. Now CSis combining? All from a company that used to value its CS as its number one differentiator? This is getting bad. Bahahaha! It is so bad that I enjoy watching it now. This is what happens when you have a passion driven company and you tear it's heart out. News flash: no one cares anymore! This is a grocery store and it isNothing more. And a has been grocery store at that. CS TL imay begone btw in the near future, I have it on good authority. And so are a large mnumber of ASTLs, most admin, buyers ,and low to mid level coordinators. Every1 I know looks at this site constantlyand They may not comment here but TMembers who care are glued to these forums and are all leaving and making plans to leave soon. Every1 good is already quietly talking about going to the competition to get PAIDmore and have a major PASSION behind their cause: to destroy wall streets puppet WFM. I should say destroy 365, WFM is already dead.

The point is, the admin, front end and receiving will be combined, just like every other grocery store. The only difference is that we'll be entirely befuddled and confused about the whole thing. Don't worry though, we have Accenture's whiz kid (who has almost zero actual retail experience) telling the Bobbsey Twins what to do. But someone forget to tell Walter and John the truth about consultants! Here's how the classic demotivational poster describes it.... "CONSULTING: If you're not part of the solution, there's good money to be made prolonging the problem."
