Well there it is, right from the big man himself. 250-300 gone before Thanksgiving. Good luck to everyone in the Calgary office and all those effected elsewhere. Anyone have an idea where the majority of cuts will be?

Excuse my ignorance - what is meant by "no plans to spend capital next year" mean in full? Is COP Canada only going to spend on operations and maintenance, no capital projects happening next year? Thanks in advance.
Ken Lueers sent an email out via RSC:Canada Employee Communications at 12:08 this afternoon. All is true. Majority of Canadian layoffs will be in Calgary and will be done by the third week in September. Canada Town Hall August 3. No plans to spend capital next year.

Not rumors. Groups all over the company are being given updates today on the numbers they will see in their areas. L48 was told 350-400 today. When HQ gets added to that, that's going to be another WARN notice for sure in Houston. Here comes another bumpy ride everyone.
