Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

guess one of the posters in another thread was right.. after ditching VPG to help become head cheerleader for Windows software group ...

... for only a matter of weeks, looks like he was either pushed out and/or offered a nice retirement package offer which he accepted.

Another one bites the dust. Cheers to VPG!

Well, if you will be the guy replacing my sorry azz... then you will be an Administrative Assistant which is what I was (I'm not a guy). Have fun with that job. I found most non-admins couldn't do calendaring very well (and that's being nice about it. lol). Sounds easy but it's not if you do the job well.

As far as my invite to come back in a year... I don't WANT to go back so you won't be seeing me in a year, I left for a reason and was about to leave without a package as I was getting d*mn tired of that place.

So TROLL ALERT backatcha. eyeroll

I know people that have taken packages 2-3 times. They just keep taking year long sabbaticals/vacation. I'd do it if I wanted to go back but I don't. Although.... maybe a year or two working there again while waiting for another package to be offered might not be a bad idea. hmmm....

VSP can come back, same as ERP. I know a guy who took VSP back in 2014 and came back a year later.

Actually I know for a fact ERP can come back and I assume VSP can to from what I've heard, I just don't want to. Been there, done that, DONE.

I was just informed all VSP and ERP are black listed and will never be allowed to return. Intel paid you to leave, be gone is their position. So your "invite to come back in a year"...not going to happen

That was me. I TOLD ya'll that he took the package on 6/2 after taking the job back in late April. But you didn't believe me because he hadn't updated his LinkedIn..... ;)

And he wasn't pushed out. Heck, he JUST got there!!! He simply took a package too good to pass up like a lot of other people. Who knows.. he could be back in a year. I know a lot of people that do that. Take a package, take a year long paid "sabbatical/vacation"... come back, do it again and again and again. Some have done this 3 times. I took the package with an invitation to return in a year from my manager but I'm GONE for good. I don't want to go back. I was looking forward to early retirement WAY too much. lol
