Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

How could a $5bln company ever afford to buy ARM?

There were discussions here about Intel should have bought ARM. But with which money?

Yes, no way regulators would even consider letting Intel buy arm. But licensing, yes. Remember intel used to do xscale (arm based) before selling to marvel.

Intel can't buy given anti trust, intel could always license ARM and join the ARMy. Similar to Qualcomm or Apple if intel design is so good and process is better they should produce the best ARM cores for IOT or mobile/tablet but sadly management simply is so entrenched with x86 they can't see, ever hear of the innovators delema, LOL
