@1app you are the exception as you came across a decent manager. Most Intel ma angers only care about what their own managers would say to keep a fat pay check doing nothing.
I think all managers have pluses and minuses.

Two Yeats ago, my parents were in declining health,, and I had reenagers at home, full crisis on all fronts.
My manager a manager ten years older one day over coffee said, I sense you have a lot on your plate, he said I am not going to pry, he said take what ever time you need, gave me a bit less work, never pushed.
I came back 3 weeks later and told him one of my parents was in serious trouble. He said that was a primary realationship. He said your first priority is family, he said second is work.
He never pushed on details, he give me lots of room, and time nearly 15 months. I don't know if All Indian managers are this way, he was very tuned in and both professional and understanding. Best human I know
Based on my experience, the worst managers I worked with on average were Indians, and I worked with many managers of different backgrounds. One common factor is they are first generation immigrants who are holding to their old ways of operating which I found very unproductive.
