Be very careful on what you sign upon leaving. I was put on a PIP after working for about 20 years (and saving their a* several times). I decided to resign before being "PIPPED". Several months later I received a letter from Tempe HR stating that they wanted to recover an overpayment of salary when Toronto switched payment periods (weekly / bi-weekly). This oversight occurred over a decade earlier in 2000, - so they knew this and Tempe H/R thought that I had signed a paper (with Toronto H/R upon leaving) that stated that I would pay one weeks salary back to them. I left without signing any such paper, nor made aware of this matter by Toronto H/R before I left.

*This only added insult to injury, as the wording of this H/R letter from Tempe arrived, stating: "As you are aware, the advance recoverable paid in 2000 was agreed to be taken from your last payment, however, due to an omission, the amount of $XXXX.XX was not taken from your last paycheque".

Albuquerque - rumors of one engineer gone, but circumstances could be other than RIF. Word of this site has gotten around and probably increased traffic by a yuge amount.

Nothing still in Tucson.

Not sure about other poster, i am a system engineer and know no one name K. Sullivan in Tucson or Toronto in reliabilty. Morale is pretty low overall here, no reason to make up stories

Urbana - nothing yet. Sr Ops Manager put in 2 weeks and left suddenly outside of HON. A lot of shifting within leadership roles. No more word on layoffs as of yet.

Torrance - nothing.. Retirement age buyer just passed. Many ISC folks have passed away over the past two years from stress related issues. Brought back a few people they though they could do without last month.. LoL I guess we'll find out the ugly truth by the end of Sept.

Richmond - Had three Ops engineers leave on their own. One left after four years and two were 3 months in before they thought they we're going to kill themselves. Yet, Morristown would rather spend twice as much to fill the position with contract engineers (only working 9-5 M-F) over permanently replacing the position with salaried. It's only getting worse now.

Working in Tucson s---s. Son got laid off Jan 5 at Glendale. I put a good word for him and he started work in Oro Vally Tucson Mar 7. It was a mistake. I did not know the reliability manager K. Sullivan would treat him like McDonalds worker. She is "virtually" running the group from Toronto ... Imagin that a foreigner lording over US Engineers .... She spies on computers . Says I want to see that PC on no later than 8 Am (his time) . "your hours are 8Am -4:30PM M-F " NO flexing. No flexing the same day. Lunch break is 30min . NO, you can not take 40min lunch and make it up at end of day."

The plant does not even have a cafeteria. Son stayed in Red Roof In to see if this job works out. The Allied Signal b--ch rode his a--. He was alone with no friends and family down there. His tour of the plant was "here is your work station, there is the bathroom , and overthere is the conference room. " He had to remove the garbage from the workstation ( uses the old steel-case type desk) to setup. Even afetr 2 weeks they still did not give him a mouse pad. His mentor was like "draft horse" ---- super paranoid ... asked my son when gets up to go to bathroom , where are you going? and tells him how he sleeps with company phone near him incase India calls 3 in the morning. They can not keep their people inn Tucson . Evn now I was told they hiring rel engineers, but that b--ch scares them off. Son quit after 2 weeks . Orbital in Chandler and Gilbert are hiring like crazy.

Tucson: An SQE got laid off on Friday. I also heard 2 engineers got laid off the week of the 15th. Everyone seems to be waiting for the big one, but it seems like they may be doing it bit by bit. I'm not really sure what is going to happen in Tucson. Everyone is anxious and there are lots of rumors.

Honeywell Aerospace, Installation Aerodynamics & Acoustics - fairly quiet - some anxiety but other than that pretty good. You can tell that I am anxious (hence my visit to this site)

Ditto here in Minneapolis...and that should be a concern to customers as well as management. As long as there is uncertainty and concern by the employees and no leadership to guide everyone through this, Honeywell customers will be the ones that pay a price at some point. Don't they teach common sense at all those first rate institutions that our leaders went to?
