Flash and Nonna's Excellent Adventure

It was great how Flash and Nonna did a canvassing of the DFW stores last week. Keep cutting labor and eliminating positions and then come into all the stores and criticize what's wrong and how we aren't doing things well enough. Then they met with leadership and TL's to inform us all how they are further combining departments and we have to compete for jobs again and we won't get a severance this time. It is impossible to keep up standards when they take away all our labor and give us even more to do and they don't care that iit is impossible. They have their six figure jobs that haven't changed at all. I don't know how much longer I can do this.

What exactly did flash and Nona go over at your store? I'm in the Houston metro and nobody here has said much about anything yet or seems suspicious or concerned at all(that could just be the geniuses that work this metro though). There's the talk about merging teams, then that "food safety" email from jm and Walter Rob last week where they just happen to squeeze in that bit about an off site production kitchen in some other region.....idk, sounds fishy. It hasn't hit us yet down here, what exactly did they say would be happening?

love how just months ago on these boards they were saying this wasnt going to happen, it is and it will continue to be the case. WF IS NOT WF anymore, those of you that have built years with the company, your nothing to them now. If you need your job cool, but if you can find something better do it. I and about 10 of my co-workers have already left each of us combined had over 60 years in. We all found better paying jobs and we are all happy. Because we looked out for each other when the company and management decide to railroad us all. When the first guy left he told us last June they would be combining teams, people did not believe, and now its happening. Like the Titanic, glad I got on one of those life boats :)

Is it right to blame Flash and Nona for this? I am sure the labor cuts came from much higher up than Regional. As the Regional President and Vice President, it is their job to critique the stores. You expect them to come in and say they don't expect us to work due to the labor cuts? The work still has to get done and someone has to hold the standard. I "get" the cuts. There was a whole lot of wasted labor and a lot of standing around and talking. The mistake was in WHO got cut. Seems as though the same slackers still work, or slack, along side the hard workers and get away with it as usual. That is where the frustration belongs. If the "old WFM" is really gone, then let's stop coddling these slackers while we overwork the good employees because we can rely on them. I would take 1 hard worker over 3 slackers any day. So stop blaming Flash and Nona and start looking around and point the finger at your lazy coworkers and the TL's who continue to keep them.

So, don't it. Line up something else and leave. The climate will not change- it will only get worse- and you will only continue to support them having these jobs by staying.
