Senior Application Software Engineer – Java

This is a full time employee position with a salary range of $74-$105,000 working directly for our client based in Clayton, MO.
Job Description
Design, build, test and maintain scalable and stable off the shelf application or custom built technology solutions to meet business needs. Act as a subject matter expert for Application Software developers and Engineers. Contribute to the entire implementation process including driving the definition of improvements based on business need and architectural improvements. Meet with business analysts to understand business needs and perform technical documentation.
Who we are looking for:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, related field or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of related experience. 5+ preferred.
• Healthcare experience strongly preferred, requires demonstrated understanding of business process as it relates to experience in the field.
• Strong working knowledge of JAVA, and SQL queries (must be able to write own code but can re-use existing code) in a Hibernate/Spring environment. Will build stand-alone processes, but also use RESTful services and APIs. Currently use SOAP, but will be retiring that.
• Claims management system experience a plus.
• Working knowledge of Java Script, OOP/OOAD, XML, HTML, Informatica, TIBCO, web services, messaging, and stored procedure a plus.
• Strong technical documentation experience.
