Thread regarding L-3 Communications Holdings Inc. layoffs

L-3 Waco -- What's *really* going on here? How can we *possibly* be THIS bad?

I've worked here for 4 years now, fresh out of college. When I first started here, I loved it. Great benefits, everyone was happy and we liked our coworkers. We believed in our work, even if it was frustrating at times. Fast-forward 4 years, and we still can't get the first bird (VVIP) over the gate, with the 2nd falling farther behind by the day. All new programs are already in the red, leadership is truly terrible, we don't hold our customers to anything, and management keeps putting older fellas who are "stuck-in-their-ways" and who don't really care anymore into leadership positions. Innovation my a--. We aren't allowed to innovate, let alone given the means to do so...

So here's my question:

What do you all see as the primary problem holding L-3 Waco back from success? Is it the leadership? The lack of overhead? The lack of consistency? The rapidly declining employee morale?

BB, you have it all entirely wrong. How you possibly read my honest inquiry into what my fellow employees see as the real issue, and decided that I must not care, is beyond me. If I didn't care, I wouldn't ask. I want L-3 PID to succeed because I initially loved working here, and I see how we COULD be successful...but "putting in lots of work" doesn't make you successful. It makes you tired. We are putting in lots of work and STILL failing on 4 "commercial side" programs. You can go ahead and keep doing the same things over and over, keep touting praises of leadership and your fellow workers...I won't stop you. But I'm going to keep looking for ways to improve, and I'll start by at least acknowledging that we aren't even CLOSE to perfect.

I'd nail her... She is so hot for a older women. And has an awesome a-- the other day she had a sleeveless sh-- and I saw side boob. If I ever get fired I'll slap her on the a-- on my way out...

Brilliance is beautiful the customer just gets what ever he wants and not one has the balls to tell them no. The customer is defiantly doing their job out program management ain't doing theirs. And DH shows up and smiles barks a few order and saves the day. Were would we be without her...

Yeah she nails things but they have nothing to do with the aircraft.

BTW Brilliance is mediocre in comparison of the work done in the past. But then that carries over with the new management style

That's probably JBB. It not the employees it the management of the program in general. HDL does one hell of a job but the jackasses upstairs who didn't know how to write a contract in the first place can't close the deal. And to be considered a VVIP completion center you 1st have to complete one. And don't get on your high horse and talk about VVIP past cause that was I. The past and don't help us now

Please, if you aren't here to help Waco succeed, then exit stage left. Apparently you are not interested in ensuring that you and your coworkers are successful in the effort they contribute. I know many have contributed to the truly outstanding workmanship that has created such a marvelous airplane as Brilliance. I have been really fortunate enough to come in at the end to witness the outstanding level of quality that separates Waco from the rest of the VVIP completion centers. So please, if you have negative feelings, move on. We don't need people like you, we can win on our own. Don't belittle our great work or the effort put forth by our Waco PID employees.
