Of course no one showed up to the town hall meeting. Some campuses have like 2 or 3 full time faculty left... Students don't show up unless there's a free pizza or something... Do you think adjunct faculty will show up? No one gives a sh-- anymore, they are all over worked for having 2 or 3 jobs. Do you really think that has any importance to them? EDMC doesn't even pay them to be on campus for training and stuff... Our director said that no one is allowed to get administrative pay. So If you go in on your own time to help some newbie, too bad you are SOL. Oh and by the way some campuses have been told to close 1 of their three culinary labs and are not allowed to teach any classes in them next quarter, because that will save money. Yeah ok it is turning around, like a restaurant that is shutting lights off in parts of the empty dining room...I really want to eat there...IDIOT EXECUTIVES, I hope you read this Mark McEachen, your team is taking really dumb decisions

I agree with 3ioi and am confident Obama will follow through on his promise to shut down the For Profits. I myself was told by one of the For Profit school admins to pass a student who flunked one of my classes. The student had not turned in several assignments. Fortunately, my contract was done, so I refused and never went back. I'd like to say this episode is the exception but sadly, it has become the norm. For Profits now see students as money streams and not people.

1efi, you're the problem. You and others like you are why thousands of students are starting in the Fall with no clue about what they've signed up for. Why would they suspect anything amiss with all those reassuring faces telling them everything's going to be a okay. I had a woman in my office yesterday who is physically and intellectually disabled but she had to leave early to do her homework for her online class at Caplan which she flunked the quarter before. In fact she had flunked all of her classes the quarter before but her advisor gAve her a pep talk and got her signed up for just two on line classes this quarter which she'll flunk because she's intellectually disabled and it's obvious she is. She's going to school on federal grants and loans. This is just sick. Who would take advantage of a disabled person this way? A whole team of people at Caplan apparently.

Look you incompetent twerp, don't you get it. No one attended the meeting. No one cared enough. The school is dead. Punks like you killed it. So, unless you have something more constructive to say, buzz off.

Update: Nothing much happened at our Town Hall Meeting. I was told by an admin that no one showed up - not students, not faculty. It left our president in the awkward position of having no one to make any announcements to. No one cared.

Yet another stupid "so's your old man" comment from Moonighting. You really are an EDMC shill.

No, you really don't have good advice. With worthless stock and no students, it's irresponsible and criminal to advise employees to keep on as if nothing was happening. Your advice was given to all those fired in the last round of layoffs. You should be ashamed.

Stupid comment? How about all of the conspiracy discussion that took place and, in the end, "nothing happened." Who is making stupid comments now, huh? Like it or not, I really have the best advice for current employees.

Never mind the brainless shill. That really was an extremely stupid comment.

Now down to business. There's a Town Hall meeting scheduled for Tuesday. Our school asked that all faculty be in attendance. Students were strongly urged to come as well. Maybe it's nothing but it sure doesn't sound good.

Any other Town Hall Meetings?

Yes, we are supposed to go to work every day and earn our paychecks. Then, after taking the weekend off, we are supposed to return next week and do the same. If this company is going to turn around, we all need to do our best work. It's that simple.
