After 12,000 layoff to save $1.4bil but yet continue to allow runaway spending! Every few weeks I see boat loads of engineers and managers fly from PG/KM sites to Intel CH just for few days meeting then fly back! All these travels on business class ain't cheap! Are such spending necessary? What is BK's intention for the $1.4bil savings from the 12,000 layoff? For staff to continue throwing money with unnecessary spending?
Even PO during the 2006/2007 layoff, put huge cuts on unnecessary spending in order to rein in the $ wastage. A few critical and necessary travelling is understandable, but not boat loads of IT engineers and IT managers flying from PG/KM sites every few weeks! That is irresponsible! There's even a joke going around that CX business class lounge in Hong Kong transit airport is now an Intel cafeteria!
I sometimes wonder if BK and his merry men are aware of what's going on!
