Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

Honeywell and it's hole.

Honeywell continues to put itself deeper and deeper into a cost cutting frenzy resulting in cheaper product and a very disgruntled work force. We continue to be told Honeywell is the "supplier" of choice.....how is this possible when they are ranked 13th in the aerospace industry? When we have to cut work force in order to give the illusion profits are up. Honeywell is all smoke and mirrors from the factory floor up. We have the HOS system and that itself is a joke. I have seen it fail time and time again. It continues to fail and will always fail with the cutting of labor. My advice, get out while the getting is mediocre. Dave Cote does not care about anyone working within the company, he only concerns himself with his bank account.

AlliedSignal took a crap at the time they bought HON and kept their name - and almost got taken over by GE

they took on GE's outsourcing and cost cutting GREED and have never looked back. Then they promise unachievable numbers and when they don't reach them, they make stupid deals to sell divisions or parts at a HUGE loss, just for the momentary cash (that they have plenty of and don't share with the employees) screwing the future even more. you are tho thmart.

Sending jobs overseas and cutting back the skilled/knowledgeable workers here so Cote/Board feel justified to sell off the pieces to foreign companies and sink Aerospace altogether. We are all doomed, unless we move overseas and demote to support staff.

I would be very surprised if future generations of planes have any Honeywell product on them, at least on the hardware side. Why would anyone hang on to Honeywell stock after the complete rapture of this company. The downward spiral has only started and the future looks very dark. If they (Honeywell) think that they will be successful by turning itself into a software company while not being able to compete as far as benefits and pay go, they have another thing coming. Who will they attract? Car companies are making massive pushes to employ software developers. I doubt that Indian workers will suffice. But good luck to them.

I have worked at Honeywell for 32 years and yes it has become a "hole" You are right when you said HOS does not work.. They spend so much time and paperwork on redundant things it drives me crazy. We are NOT Honeywell anymore...But Allied Signal. They buy companies and slowly sell off and destroy it. That is what had been happening here in Mpls for the last 15 years. The Golden Valley plant is devoid of union workers. Less that 150 still work in ACS. We have about 75 in Aero machining there. Slowly but surely death will come. I have only 2.3 years to work... I hope it hangs in there that long
