"I just did as told even I knew it was wrong. "

That's about 80% of the company. Higher after ACT, which took out quite a few who dared to try to do the right thing.

When I first started at Intel, I loved it, I even went my office to get works done on a Christmas day. I attended almost every BUMs or whatever they call these days. Then bullsh*t started to pile up, along with micro and clueless managers, things started to go down hill from there, and I just did not care for anything, I just did as told even I knew it was wrong. Just before my SL4, I was going to work only for the money, everything was just a pretend. I give my paycheck +1, bonus +1, health care +1. So, overall it is a 3 for me.

AZ, PE, 7 for the challenging projects, 0 for the clueless, inept management.

Used to be a 10 for me until the last 3 years. Suddenly I begun feeling like a chip on a board for managers to just move me around. I guess that sounds normal but I was lucky enough to be left alone in my dream job for many years producing great results for my customers due to the passion involved in working in something you love. But then I stopped feeling the love of managers, job satisfaction came down to 7. Only options to get my job satisfaction back to 10 was to find another job/career that I love outside of my group and in my site or look outside of Intel. Could not find anything I liked in my site and a SL4 ended up making the decision for me.

I played the game for 30 years plus... Never failed in any endeavor and gladly took the ERP.. I rode the horse from bad times through good times and had the good luck to hit the rise and fall of x86. It was worth it, but I'm the last generation to do this.

Oregon, engineering job, 7 to 9 for the most part of the last decade. Avoid politics, do my job, deliver! Recently is more like 5, for a number of reasons.

@J8cmGu9-1mgz We will see if Big Murthy and his Qualcomm boys can fix product side of the house. TMG sadly is outta control as BK is one of them, with Stacy and Andy around nobody will be able to fix the organization that employs the most, is most expensive and broken. Right now I give it a 90% TMG will see more consolidation and layoffs before being spun off like AMD did with GF

It's precisely the culture that fixates over "making sure the finger couldn't come back to" you, your team, group, etc. that made working at Intel so toxic, especially when the rules don't apply equally. There truly is no accountability for the "inner circle" of cronies, s----ups and confidants.

Hold decision forums. Document all you want. Forward emails showing that people lied or changed course. Point to negative results and slipped deadlines and the actions/decisions that resulted in them. The truth doesn't matter. Who the VP or GM favors does. And if you're not in the "inner circle" there's no security. You're open game for whoever feels threatened by you or doesn't like you or wants to steal your idea. No one has your back. At least no one who matters or doesn't want to be targeted themselves.

This is all a symptom of being a monopoly for too long and why Intel will struggle to prioritize or execute on winning ideas.

Loved my co workers, kind of like fighting a war, you are miserably but in there with your buddies grinding out little and big wins.

Management for the most part was politics and about $hitting on others to protect yourself. TMG operated with over riding focus to avoid getting blamed by division for anything. All focus was on making sure the finger couldn't come back to PTD or TMG, nobody cared about collaboration. All about creating as much work for division to justify things... It is no wonder that Murthy was brought in to deal with TMG.

Don't miss the the toxic work environment as there are a lot of companies that really do value employees, their opinions, prospective, them as humans and something more than just a beast of burden!

Work, peers and their spirit get a 10

Management gets a 0

So give it a 5, If the future wasn't so bleak for the company might actually miss it, LOL

I was truly miserable working at Intel before ISP. No good deed went unpunished by backstabbing incompetents and my useless manager. Just a toxic, toxic place.

TMG, 20! Things are better ever since they got rid of the dead weight purgers. We'll be getting 10 percent raises next focal and double the stock since there are less employees...GPTW!
