Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

Average program/project manager salary Oregon?

I've been searching for average salaries in oregon for project/program managers per grade level online, but wanted to hear from people actually working at Intel. What sort of compensation should someone at a grade 6, 7, 8 and above expect? Obviously, level of experience will make a difference, but lets imagine someone at a grade 6 started with 2 years of direct experience, and continues moving up in the company. What is the expected salary for the grade 6, and what percentage increase is expected each year they are promoted (with an E/1,2,or 3)? Avg salary on Glassdoor is $84,300, for reference.

You won't get an E every year, keep that in mind. Nobody does. E and O ratings are rationed and most people get S, with a few IRs to meet the bellcurve. At the S level, which is where you'll spend most of your time, you can expect maybe 2 percent a year. To get more you have to get a new job at a higher grade, and then claw your way up that ladder. The danger is sometimes when people stretch into a new role at a higher grade, they will be the ones in that group to rank the lowest at their next Focal and thus are in ISP danger. I saw it happen with ACT 2015 and 2016.
