Recycling?

Have all stores stopped recycling? We only recycle for a few hours a day, which makes it nearly impossible. In theory, we would stockpile garbage in our departments, and walk it outside only during the two hours a day it is permitted. In addition, I noticed no one ever mentions the core values anymore. Are they still a thing?

Recycling has been a total sham in the Plano SW store for years and years. The 'recycling' bin trash bags go right in the compactor along with the everything else.

Are some stores still compositing? We've not been for nearly a year.

People get chastised for taking the time to recycle at my store in the SW.

Don't eat a banana out of the compost or you'll get fired!

Yeah, not too much harping about that lately. I noticed today that we have a different chemical company for norcal. No longer using ecolab for soaps and detergents. The new dispensation systems look like an elementary school science fair project. Money saving or what? I haven't heard they are better for the environment or anything. You'd think if they were they would brag about it.

I feel like the lone a-hole pulling coffee cups out of the trash to separate it into recycling and compost in my department. How friggin' hard is it to just take 1 second to do that?! Not opening containers when doing doing shrink and throwing the plastic container out with the food in it. Leadership and TMs don't care and the new hires really aren't being trained to care. No mission statement happening.
