This about it.....Bill Gates just gave Eddie a bunch of money. I'm willing to bet this new 'cool' Kmart store is a concept for the new Microsoft stores soon to open around the US. Eddie is just fitting the bill on Kmart, since he plans to declare bankruptcy - or that's how I think like a billionaire.
They do this near Hoffman Estates so the execs can visit and tell themselves what a great job they are doing with the stores. This is too little, tool late. Even if the store has good sales results, they would never approve a nationwide investment in stores. The company is going to collapse while they waste time with these one store experiments.
It doesn't matter. It will be closed next year with the rest of them.
