I worked for one of those small mfg. companies that was bought back in 09, within less than 2years the place was WFT'ed and will close this year.
Not sure you right about that, the small savvy guys have that have been in business for a while have their property and equipment paid for and not carrying all the fat that continue to carry, you would be surprised how lean a small well run company can operate.
BASTARDS!!
I worked in one of the small districts they purchased we would have small Christmas gatherings and thanksgiving get togethers! And we did not have all the managers just one secretary and a District manager that would go on a job on the drop of a hat! I was in the shop on day a vendor tried to give him a hat he told the guy come back when you have one for everybody!
Do you really think that those small companies wouldn't be going under in the downturn? I'm not thrilled with Weatherford, but let's be realistic, lots of companies were going to fold and it has nothing to do with Weatherford and everything to do with a crash in oil prices.
All i can say is they bought a lot of good small companies with good working people and turned them into empty up for rent properties!!!!!!!!
