Unica 9.1 Implementation

One of the many things that you will never hear a word about is the implementation of Unica 9.1 by the various divisions on IBM. The final cut over from the old version (7.5) to the new version is the end of the month and its going to be a disaster. Hundreds of thousands of dollars are being spend globally for 'responses' that will die and never become 'leads' because the system is broken and there are not enough specialist available to fix it. This is going to affect the sales pipeline well into 2017. If I were a stockholder I would be none to happy. But they will never hear a word about it.

Sugarcrm is the poor mans salesforce. They tout improvments but its all custom garbage created to please the customers. Overworked TAM's trying to please these large companies while the management team sits there with their heads up their asses.

IBM uses Sugar CRM (internally branded as SalesConnect). It was a huge improvement over the previous (Siebel) system but still hard to use and with a very low S/N ratio.

It wouldn't surprise me to see another move in order to focus on web sales as IBM slowly rids itself of its F2F sales force but this is just educated speculation.
