I'm going to make this short and sweet. Word of advice, if your manager is ALWAYS showing off and only talks about his/herself RUN and RUN HARD! This selfish person will not help you but his/her own self. Learn from an old Cisco sailor who's been here a long time. Now our good crew is ready to jump ship. Godspeed mates.

Managers should have performance reviews based on how the team is advancing not how many meetings they attend. Hold these managers accountable for their teams not meeting the company's expectations. The only way this is going to work is if the hard working people start calling out the deadweight and force the managers to do their work and make the deadweight work harder or look for another job. If it's not for engineers, salespeople, corporate, and so on these managers would not be needed. Stop being robots and demand better management.

Managers better start saving your money and not wasting it foolishly I just heard today managers are going to be the biggest cuts in the near future.
Yes, One of the main reason Cisco is ocean and 60% of people including G4 till SVP are eating money for selfish not for Cisco.
Whoever does work hard for Cisco are taken into wrong line.
SHOW OFF are smart people who can run only for few time which same Cisco is surviving by acquisitions and unable to stand itself due to politics and lot of nontechnical managers and most of them are nonIIMs and politics politics politics
