Thread regarding Chevron Corp. layoffs

Anybody has used the educational support that was part of severance?

I believe it could be used within 2 years after actual severance date. Could this be on any subject? Could this be lessons in french?

The address on the form is wrong. At least on mine it was.

Expect 4 to 6 six weeks to process.

Send your paper work to:

Chevron/Payroll

P.O. Box 6041

San Ramon, Ca 94583-0741

You pay up front first then they reimburse when you fill-out the form (a copy is in your package) and give them copies of the receipts. So far they've been reimbursing the community college courses I'm taking but it is slow. I also had to follow-up and refile again so do it by email and scanning to save you on the postage. An accredited school like colleges should be no problem. And with your unemployment status, there's also ways of getting training paid too.

Do I pay first and then get reimbursed? Any conditions attached? I believe they reimburse 75% of it upto 5000.

Anything. They waived the "business related" clause.
