Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

Tired...

This place is really seeming to fall; I don't know when the next furlough / layoff session is, but the recent ones have made it so most of my coworkers do not have the time to properly mentor me on the workings of the equipment and work I could do.

I am a recent college graduate and started about 2 months ago... I took a chance on it because of the starting salary, but there seems to be no real room for personal growth, raises or greater benefits. My dad has worked here for 25+ years and told me about how much better it was when he started and his previous dedication to the company, until he noticed the changes were only making it worse over time.

There is no motivation for me or room for me to try my best and the morale here is SUPER low which is not helping at all. I feel bad for this place, because they will eventually need us younger people to take their place and I am already planning my leave next year.

I am also a recent college graduate and I can sympathize and understand your pain. I am in the same situation. At this point you have to see the writing on the walls and get out while you can. We are young enough where we can easily switch to different company; others are less fortunate. I wish all recent college graduates see this and leave the company within the next year. Even during a town hall people have questioned senior leadership how will they retain young talent. Their response was dissapointing. If senior leadership isn't providing encentives for me to grow my career here it's time to get the heck out.

You are young and have your whole career and life ahead of you- don't wait. This is not a career. I would run to another company if I wasn't nearly 60 ) ; Staying here will only make you hate your life. So sorry. It used to be a good place to work but not anymore, not for a long time.

HON is "just a paycheck"...........not a career, not anymore. Employees are not here because they like it, but because they need an income. Sad but true. Coming into this place day after day is just another brutal task for survival...................

To anyone looking at HON, there is no career growth here. You will be expected to work and work and then you'll get no reward. No merit increases, they are consistently lowering band levels for roles in order to pay you less and less.

Most of the senior "leadership", and I use that term VERY loosely, are greedy, inept morons who couldn't run a business if their life depended on it. I wouldn't trust those clowns to run a lemonade stand much less a large company. From the president of HON AERO, tim phoney baloney mahoney on down, it's just one idiot after another down to the director level. Most directors are smart and talented which is why they can't advance any further; you have to be a moron and make terrible business decisions to be a VP or higher.

These fvcking morons decided that the best way to increase revenue is to sell revenue streams. You don't have to be Warren Fvcking buffet to see how that is not the best solution.

Find a new job while you can. There is no growth here. Use it for what you can then bolt.

You are experiencing the new honeyhell. This is very typical and it will not improve. Take as much as you can then get a job at a real company and leave this clown show in the dust.
