Thread regarding Sears layoffs

Were all maintence techs fired?

Here is what I am wondering. If SHC fired all maintence techs, who will repair the stores damaged by the hurricane?

Actually I was hoping the poster "X-QMT" will post.

I actually believe his posts since he was a SHC Qualified Maintence Tech. Since he was fired by SHC/laid off.

Again, you have not told us what position you hold with SHC 9055, everyone on here takes your posts with a grain of salt.

Store managers, with district manager's approval, may engage the services of maintenance professionals or contractors where company maintenence crews are unavailable. These people are paid through direct deposit upon proper invoicing with corporate. Cleaning a toilet, vacuuming carpets, cleaning displays and dusting are generally done at store level by designated associates.

Hope that helps in answering your persistent questioning.

This is what the troll 9055 posted to another thread I made:

"For the most part, Sears self insures. I can tell you that Hurricane Sandy damages were patched and repaired by company maintenance crews. Stores that had structural damages from Sandy --where the building was the responsibility of the landlord-- had those damages repaired by the landlord or the landlord's insurance company.

If a building is damaged causing longterm closure, associates are offered positions at surrounding stores or laid off. That is how most retailers operate."

Here is what I am wondering, since SHC fired all QMT techs earlier this year who will repair the store if it was damaged by hurricane Matthew?
