Most tech companies have an analytics strategy with data science. How is Cisco in this field? Are they using advance techniques to gather business intelligence? Are they competing with the Googles of the world?

What area in security @1gug?
quite a lot of data science going on in security
a 'data' sample: They had partnered with a small startup called Emcien to resell its products under the Cisco label. Emcien appears to have interesting machine learning technology, at least from looking at their web page. But I heard that Biri laid off most of the people working with that vendor, don't know if Cisco also severed the relationship with the vendor. I thought people with data science skills were hard to find and keep. Would join a bipolar organization like that? My conclusion is that Cisco management doesn't understand data science unless it buys it in a bottle with a label in big letters reading: Sh-- or, alternatively, SHINOLA. Chances still are that they'll drink from the wrong bottle.
Well on the Service Provider side , they just got LR'd .
Data Science at Cisco? haha
Funny stuff
Jasper in iot and tetration in data center seem to be it for now.
chuck will buy a few companies to show Cisco is a player in this area and only screw up the acquisitions and employees with LR's later.
Lol
