News reports from SAN Francisco and Associated Press say 1,000 Rancho Cordova jobs are being relocated. Does that mean if you don't relocate, they will hire your replacement adding headcount to another center in the country? Sounds fishy...

Yes they are "relocating" them to the Philippines!
Sounds like a PR tactic to make it sound like the numbers are less than they really are in the news stories. They don't have to say the jobs are 'eliminated' that way. It's heartbreaking since they do drag people around the country 'relocating'.
Remember, some of these are the same people who got relocated from Irvine call center to Rancho Cordova. Now they are being asked to relocate again from Rancho to Texas, Florida or South Carolina.
Stop wasting your time. Verizon will close the rest of the call centers in due time.
They are beating on most people not relocating. Honestly anyone who does has rocks in their head. They have been closing years for years now and will continue to and who knows how long the package will stay as lucrative as it is.
Oh please. Nobody is getting replaced if they decline. Thats the goal. I'll bet my next paycheck on it....if i still get one.
