Being a basket case doesn't mean anything. Otherwise NMA would have been kicked to the curb a long time ago.

We haven't sold anything yet, but the official announcement did go out today. Chevron will try to sell its Bangladesh assets for $2 billion. Already there is interest among some Indian and Chinese suitors for the assets. We only need to wait for the final sale date and see if we were able to negotiate the price we wanted. Basing things on recent large asset sales, I think we'll fall short of goal... again.

CVX is looking to be the first to crack $10B in asset sales for 2017. Incredible and very telling about the poor condition we are in. Prepare yourselves for more layoffs in the near future with the continuation of soft oil prices and the high yield dividend they stubbornly won't lower.
