I have nothing more to add - I just dislike Allegro Coffee and wanted to share that with someone - I am not an employee and I am sorry you had layoffs - I like my Santa Monica store and I wish each one of you all the best. Anyhow, Allegro Coffee is not winning your any extra points...

Ughhh I bought 2 bags, one decaf and one regular dark roast. It literally tastes like rotting fruit and hot water...So disgusting. I'm so glad I'm not the only one. I need to find a good prganic coffee dammit! LOL
I concur. I’ve had do do that tasted at least 30% better and at half the price! Thats all day where I come from.
Does anyone know how they get it so wrong? I'm guessing whoever runs Allegro used to be a bagger. WFM loves to put people in positions they are inept at.
I too hate Allegro coffee. Their espresso is the worst I have ever tried. I thought it was the barista a Whole Foods.. but when I puchased bag of organic espresso beans.. I realized it was not the barista. It was the bean itself.
Allegro flat out is the worst coffee ever. To add, have you ever met the people that work at Allegro? Besides thinking their coffee is the best, they’re a bunch of a**holes.
I have never met anyone that said, “let stop and get some Allegro”.
I don't even feel bad that you necroed a 2 year old thread to declare your dislike for allegro because it is is the worst coffee I have ever had. I love coffee and I work in a store with fresh hot coffee and I can't even drink it because its so godawful.
I prefer any coffee to Allegro Coffee - it may be my personal preference but I really think Allegro Coffee is really bad...
I had a customer come up to me when I worked in another department and tell me that the Allgero cold brew tasted like cat p!ss. No lie. It wasn't long before other customers were making similar comments.
Agreed, the worst coffee.
I prefer Dunkin Donuts. But the coffee at the gas station near my store is good also.
While it is true the coffee bar recycles the "going" out of date coffee from the shelf, it is still just BAD coffee to begin with!

The cold brew is horrible. Yet another instance of WFM copy catting and following fads. WFM leads at nothing.
Allegro is cheap, over-priced, leftover, burnt bitter crap. It's just bad. The only decent Allegro coffee is the espresso roast but it's not better than the best-selling Cafe Bustelo which is around $2.89 for a 10-oz bag at most stores. Of course, we won't sell or Starbucks because then no one would spend $12.99 a pound for Allegro. Another epic fail. Customers ALWAYS preferred Counter Culture, Larry's, Magnolia or other locally roasted coffees to sh!tty Allegro.
You ever wonder why the coffee bar is so bad? The coffee bar team gets expired Allegro from the grocery shelf and use that. Just ask your neighborhood coffee bar team member about it. You can see it on their faces. Those are orders from regional
Trust us, we know. I laugh every time they try to make it seem like it's the top 5% of coffee around the world. I will suggest any other coffee than allegro or I'll tell them it's not good quality if they try to buy it.
Its so bad..even the cold brew is waaay to bitter and not in a good way.
