I heard within 2 weeks 6 MPLS Honeywell Engineers that work in the same area gave notice to leave the company. They are hurting bad for engineers. Good for them though.

You are only a number at Honeywell and when that number comes up, they don't care about your or anything else. Now serving number 5%. It use to be a great place to work and they cared about the employee, the family and the customer. Now it is whatever we do has to look good on Wall Street.
Hahahaha. Honeywell doesn't care about knowledge. They dont want to retain any of these people. Dave is trying to sink the business so it can be dismantled and sold. Longevity is NOT the goal of AERO.
At the Tempe site, a senior design engineer with 35+years elected to leave last week to work for a small engineering firm. This talented engineer was responsible for 45+ patents. How do you replace this product line knowledge with off-the-street labor??
Norcross had two engineers and senior admin leave the company, guess people are jumping ship since Honeywell ain't the only game in town (ATL)
I knew two people (Phoenix) got culled in the last round - both mid 50s with 20+ years. Both were work from home types and think band 4 also, but not certain. So any WFH band 4's out there - take note.
Suspect the Dec RIF is spot on. They seam to like to cut people a week or two before Christmas. I would not quit until Jan as you might miss out on severence.
If attrition is what they are seeking, they will find more than they bargained for with all the moves they've made lately. No salary actions, RIFs, furloughs, no dental subsidy next year, ever increasing medical insurance and prescription costs, no telecommuting.
So what we have is a high pressure environment, eroded benefits, lack of market-equivalent compensation, and essentially no job security plus an honest threat of more personal income loss right in time for Christmas by way of well rumored furlough already in the works first week of December.
Nothing says "we want you to leave" like the clear messages our leadership have been sending this year.
I know of an engineer that was thinking of quitting, and made the decision to do so right after the No More WFH memo came out.
Senior Leadership is most likely happy that this is happening. They need and want another 5% of people to jump ship so they don't have to pay anyone off or do another RIF. The more people that have been around for a while that leave the better for the short term financials
It's sad hearing of good people jumping ship, but no surprise at all. Morale is at an incredibly low point, lowest I've seen in nearly 20 years. Pay is not only stagnant but moving backwards. Benefits have eroded so far they're almost laughable when still described as "benefits".
Pay for performance? Nonexistent. Great place to work? Not anymore. Not for a long time now.
So disheartening that the senior leadership continues to squeeze employees to make up for the many years of mismanagement. Why would anyone in their right mind want to stay with Honeywell at this point? It's painfully clear that Honeywell couldn't care less for the well-being of its employees. The only saving grace is the fact that so many of the employees I work with every day, are wonderful, smart, and caring people. I'm sure we all will miss one another after we have left for greener pastures.
What product line did these engineers support?

I'm so glad to hear this. Good on those guys! We need to keep this pattern going. We were just told the PM for bombarded quit and is leaving the company after 20 years! Great job Davey and Timmy! Way to drive out top talent.
Clearwater lost 2 staff engineers and 3 other resignations last week. Departments rebalancing to keep 'body count balanced', shortage on paper due to rest of us printing resumes
One of the engineers worked closely with the Stinson Minneapolis site but belong to the Honeywell (Golden Valley) site that's in Minneapolis. The notices did come morning after morning unplanned.
Yes its true... more like 1 last Monday then 1 a day since last Friday except none for Thursday.
