Lowell sleeps like a baby knowing that his once "golden" parachute is going to be a "diamond" parachute the more he gets rid of the dead wood, and the sooner he sells off the rest of the copper plant. So tired of people crying about age playing a role in your layoff. Do you retards not understand that you've had a work experience and culture that simply won't exist for younger workers? You've had youre whole careers at verizon. You've enjoyed career longevity that allows you to walk away with big retirement and severance packages. And you got to work during a time that wasn't so cut throat. You guys had it good. The truth is that the older workers cant add value anymore and you have to be cut to avoid taking the whole company down. Get over it.

The common denominator is age + retirement ready age. I cant believe I didnt see this coming. The ones who woukd find it harder to find new employment because of the time they invested in Verizon.
