November 1st Is Coming Fast. 60 Day Deadline To Get More Hard Working Employees Dumped By EOY 2016!

Who will Lowell give the axe to next? I know more heads will roll before November 1st. My prediction is crappy Q3 2016 results announced on October 20th, then let the slashing begin! Gotta get em off payroll by the end of the year! Times running out!

Lowell sleeps like a baby knowing that his once "golden" parachute is going to be a "diamond" parachute the more he gets rid of the dead wood, and the sooner he sells off the rest of the copper plant. Why should he care about anything or anyone in the long run? He will be working on his golf score and hob-knobbing with the rich and famous while you deal with Obamacare and decreasing social security value.

For meat-grinder companies like Verizon, I prefer to "take" value from the company rather than add any value .... cause I want to be just like Lowell and the rest of the management team.

Money for nothing, chicks for free.

@1uhjx - I am one of the "retards" you refer to and your comment is rude to say the least. It's not my fault the economy is the way it is now and people can't stay on jobs for more than a few years.

I am over 50 and still have ALOT of life and value left in me. To say older people don't add value to the company is unfounded.

So tired of people crying about age playing a role in your layoff. Do you retards not understand that you've had a work experience and culture that simply won't exist for younger workers? You've had youre whole careers at verizon. You've enjoyed career longevity that allows you to walk away with big retirement and severance packages. And you got to work during a time that wasn't so cut throat. You guys had it good. The truth is that the older workers cant add value anymore and you have to be cut to avoid taking the whole company down. Get over it.

So Lowell whose next. Sales management. Whose life are you going to ruin next. When you go home do you feel bad that there are so many long time loyal employees thrown out like trash. 2 years from retirement and thrown out. Put yourself in our shoes, how would you feel? What happened to loyalty? What do we do now Lowell

The common denominator is age + retirement ready age. I cant believe I didnt see this coming. The ones who woukd find it harder to find new employment because of the time they invested in Verizon. So call building a future with Verizon. Yeah right, instead of looking foward to a good life ,we are now wondering how are we going to make it. Who wants 50+ year olds. So much for growing old. I am not even sure how we get our serverance, health benefits once Verizon drops us on the 4th of Nov
