Active Shooter Training, Suicide Prevention Training, and Employee Assistance Program (EAP)...Bulletproof plan in effect!! Oh! and we offer "employee transition support" for outgoing employees. Nobody who's employed gets the misfortune of figuring out its only a 2 hour long power point offered by contractor company to show you how cool Linked In, and "Networking friends and family" is. If you are lucky enough to find out, you're dead to Honeywell anyway so...win win! Duck and Cover? A true company man stands out in front of the building and takes it like a trooper! That's what we need in our trenches! Also we have another RIF coming...but hey kids! Who wants ice cream? YAY!
I got the email for this minutes after getting an email about Tim Mahoney's town hall coming up. It was a typical 'attend in person' invitation. I thought, "wow.... bad timing, guys"! way to give people ideas....
Last year, at my site, 'Active Shooter' training was offered as an optional Lunch & Learn (employee had to supply own lunch). As with all training offered to employees, it is to satisfy a requirement and mitigate legal exposure rather than something where the company cares about your well being (hahahaha, Honeywell caring about it's employees?! hahhaha)
I'll bet the ALT is concerned after dicking over their employees so hard. I don't encourage or condone violence in any way, shape or form, but if there was an incident like this against the leadersh*ts, well, that's karma I guess.
Is it duck and cover like the nuke videos in the 40's?
I had it automatically assigned to my LMS as training. Have to say it was troubling and a sad reminder of the times...
Something new, or just included in the yearly HSE video slog on safety
