Would all of us applying for RIF send a strong message to Aero? In essence it be as if no one volunteered and make them choose folks the old fashion way. Just a thought that is gaining steam

It's all about the $$$. Band 4s and above have targets on our back.
That strategy may not necessarily be beneficial on an individual basis, as some of those who want it may not get it, and some who don't may get it At some sites there were more involuntary chosen, than voluntary, in the last two RIFs, as they knew exactly who they wanted out, and who they wanted to keep. This time may be different if they are looking for larger numbers. They use to indicate the %, but don't do that anymore. Go figure.
