The RIFs are really doing the company in!! It's pitiful that good employees lives are destroyed - thinking they're with a good company. Lowell and his cronies should be thrown off a cliff! They should be put in a hall of shame for taking a confident group of employees and destroying their trust, commitment and loyalty. "Executives Matter" and this bunch is worthless!! The fake employee meetings should be a Saturday Night Live skit...full of BS and comic fodder - they are all liars!!!

Yes friend H-1B but no steal!! Mr McAdam steal I think because no global diversity. Was promise in global diversity web cast. When Verison grasp the global diversity we all rewards. My organisation no diversity correctly. When fix I achieve the great success!

Global diversity was promise from Mr McAdam! In global web cast summit I watch friend American actor tell story. Now I wonder if lies and he only want steal more great film from Bollywood!! Many American on organisation weeks later. No global diverse.
If Verizon cared as much about its best employees as it does Diversity, there would be an insanely great meritocracy. Just look around at most management ranks (except at the Lowell crony level). Do the math- a good Diversity program doesn't mean take the opportunities and rights away from those not labelled diversity candidates. How bout giving some real opportunity to those who are not considered diversity candidates, and actually allow good people with the best skills to be recognized and promoted. Am convinced there are entire groups at Verizon created solely for the purpose of taking a photo to put into the diversity brochure. Such a shame.
I too, was laid off recently (Sept 2016). What is surprising is that after being forced into slave labor working 18 STRAIGHT 12-hour days during this summers "strike duty" - just to earn a 4-day trip back to my family - I get the boot by the Basking Ridge boys (with full HR support). I'm glad the unions got their deal. Unfortunately, VZ then announces they are shutting down thousands of Union jobs and shipping the workload overseas! Talk about a culture of DECEIT!
