Thread regarding Baker Hughes Inc. layoffs

This site is ruining my life!

Due to the topics relating to layoffs, rumours and information I am addicted to this site. My wife asks me, what's more important? Me or that bloody layoff site, clearly it's the layoff site and feel I need support from BHI to wean me of this horrid addiction? Does anyone else suffer this side effect or is it just me? does anyone have any (serious) advice? I will end up in cornhill at this rate! If not advice, do you have any rumours or information about this topic?

Just get off this site and start applying for a new job. When I was at NOV, I constantly watched their layoff site too. I was waiting for the end. In hindsight, I should have just started looking for something way before the layoff. Being unemployed s---s.

Keep your CV updated. All service companies continue to cut cost through attrition/redundancy/layoffs or whatever you want to call it. Latest conference calls indicate $100s or millions are still being 'spent' on severance.
