Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

Who is this round affecting? Any ideas?

Does anyone have any idea who this is affecting this round? (Indirect, direct, band 3 or band 4) there are rumours around supervisors wIth less than 5 people. At this point I have no clue! Don't understand a company who pulls this, "We are going to do RIF after they just did one. Leaving everyone to be concerned! always a good way to build on morale and be extremely productive. I know at our site technicians are already calculating the support staff who will be let go this round. They said after the last one "only safe position is a technician!"

Pretty sad! Not the company I thought it was! Extremely difficult to continue to worry on a regular basis.

There was talk of "how can the cut more support staff? They just rid a lot of them! This round has to be affecting technicians!"

Our site has just hired several technicians and new business has been started. We are a small site and our site leader (like all others - don't let this RIF distract you from doing business as usual!"

Are you for real? When his position isn't likely affected nor his number two bestest buddy won't be any part of it! After last RIF, a position was generated just for his buddy!! But yes sir, no worries work overtime unpaid and unappreciated. I feel overwhelmed by this RIF, as I expect a lot of other Honeywell employees.

Nice to have this site to come to and speak with others feeling the same emotion. I have not mentioned to my spouse due to, i wish to not cause any worries in them as I am. Just trying to keep my cool and look for another position in the mean time!

RIF for supervisors managing less than 5 people ? If applied the larger RIF ever seen !

Maybe the only positive choice made by this Co in the last years ....... !

Yeh they furlough then rif then put out an insulting memo about no working from home then give som sob story about how bad business is meanwhile Cody is a multomillionaire and then announce anoter rif. HW deserves all of us to walk out because they sure don't deserve our blood sweat and tears anymore.

Last round hit the salary folks pretty hard. In some cases we don't have enough people to cover all the processes currently in place. It is very transparent from the SIOP reporting and utilization % that we don't need the amount of hourly production people if we don't have anything to build.

Amazing that customers are not aware! Sure they are, they don't care until it effects the quality or the product or the TAT - OTTR

Who cares that employees have the looming worries of this RIF or the next!! How many more to come? Likely an annual event or maybe quarterly.

Honeywell has truly become a crappy place to work anymore. When furloughs and layoffs become part of normal routine you know the end is near. Even if it weren't, there is no motivation to work when we keep getting money taken away and treated like naughty children. Hired for our brains then treated like we are stupid. Makes no sense.

One would hope management would be putting their resources into building the business but instead they are too busy putting resources into making sure all employees waste time and gas and show up at a location where they don't even work with anyone - but they can be babysat all day.

Well I want to work somewhere where I can have pride in my work and am a contributing and trusted employee. That situation no longer exists at HI. I can in no way be as productive having to drive so far everyday. Those driveng hours used to be free OT. Now they will be used to add more carbon monoxide fumes to the environment, there will not be extra time to donate to HI for free OT. What a nasty place to work that HI has become. Very sad indeed.
