  • Headcount reductions, discretionary spending reductions, capital purchasing reductions, benefits shrinking, quarterlies even being cancelled. But TWWW is still going full speed ahead despite numerous studies saying it hurts productivity in a big way.

  • On the rare occasion that you see the RCG's and interns actually working, they have their cell phone in one hand the entire time. And NEO is packed full of fresh grads each week.

  • Discussions between coworkers after BK/Murthy webcasts are in tones of distrust, disenfranchisement, and hopelessness. I've never seen such negativity towards upper management.

Trading high margin x86 capacity for near zero margin IoT trinkets.

The end is near - the economics of Moore's law has ended for Intel.

Party time is over.

Massive flow of high quality talent from Intel to Apple.

Don't be surprised if Apple zooms past Intel in processor performance and then just ditches them forever.

ARM + TSMC of course.

Intel has more appointed VPs than a Wells Fargo or Chase, where every branch manager has that title.

I read that 200+ Vice Presidents were appointed two or three years ago. Hopefully they will put all of their heads together to turn things around.

The first task of bk's successor will be to replace the senior exec management and the second task will be to purge the middle level management consisting of all the vps faster than a crap shoot in a diorreah

The product that makes all the money is relegated to the back of every store and less and less floor space.

Remember the days every new product launch and holiday and BTS was about spending your valuable dollars on the lates PCs.

Now Kaby and the future launches no body give a phuck. Now if that isn't a company in decline than what is it?

Another sign of the times is that key people who were lost in ACT (or who were senior enough to have been tipped and bailed before) have been replaced by complete idiots.

There is not much more demoralizing than to have Director, VP and GM slots open up and be filled with people who aren't respected by their former peers and subordinates. Meet the new boss. Even worse than the old boss

Desperate push into Foundry space! Nothing makes more money than x86 and nothing is more expensive than an empty factory. Intel executives are desperately trying to get foundry and wafer starts for anything and everything at any price.

Why, to have the factory run something, anything!

Braking with longstanding tradition of only internal promotions.... Would never have done that Intel the past, desperate hope outside talent would help.

Dropping sponsorship of the International Science and Engineering Fair after 17 years. Instead our illustrious CEO thinks a lame maker tv show that no one has seen is more important.
