SMG is a useless org.

What kind of talent do you need to sell monopoly product?

It sells itself.

That is until people want something else.

Then the lack of talent is exposed.

Like the African fish dying in the drying ponds when the seasons change.

Season's changing folks.

Mobile is eating your lunch.

The whole company in turmoil!

Moore's law an end. 10 delayed and retread designs in Kaby and Coffee as Canon and Ice on Ice for a loooong time.

Sales and Marketing are struggling and a friggen boat anchor of an organization that needs a complete overhaul. Hard to sell a snowball to an Eskimo when they already have one, LOL

Sales and Marketing can't peddle empty fab capacity either!

ACT1 coming soon!

As always, the focus of what's going to happen depends on the "guys in power" and who the "favored ones" are inside Intel vs. what's actually needed to succeed in a competitive and changing marketplace.

Intel SMG is an anachronism by and large. Huge changes (and cuts) are long overdue.

SMG should be viewed as a component in a plan to accomplish Intel's strategy. Problem is there is no Intel strategy. Just a bunch of "virtuous circle" BS. And Intel "customers" ain't buying it anymore than anyone else.

For KM/PG site, TMG, Design seems a bit confused, no clear direction of where things are going. Design in PG seems affected with many senior guys out through ERP. The guys in power now for APAC region (Ho Chi Minh, KM, PG, CD and Dalian) are MIT group. Last year IoT and MIT group in APAC was the favored ones but things seems to have fully shifted to MIT this year. MIT is under DO, BK's lieutenant. Rumor is that MIT given blank cheque and tasked with figuring out how to maintain fab/factory running due to lost of folks in recent layoff.
