Gartner and IDC for the state of the PC business. You'll see that peak PC was in 2011. Double digit unit declines every year since which have led to under utilized fabs. Their forecasts do not show this abating. PCs are clearly in secular decline.
For the financials, look at the 10Q SEC disclosures for operating earnings, revenue and capex trends. Also look at the scale of the IoT and mobile operating units.
For the scale and technology issues, look at the leading edge volumes that Intel produces vs. what leading edge volumes TSMC and Samsung produce. Compare their capex to Intel. Look at their roadmaps and their customer roadmaps and compare to Intel's.
Think about who is demanding leading edge capacity and why they need it and how they can fund the necessary capex to realize it.
