If you get to leave don't give your 2 week notice, take an burn all your vacation days and then the day you come back just quit.

Worst case scenario... Rent your house, take a job anywhere in the US and ride it out. Good luck!!
I applied for multiple engineering jobs since the announcement was made - I had one "pre-screen" interview. No bites.
Starbucks here I come.

Stabucks here I come.
I know some people that walked into their bosses office to let him know that they were on vacation effective immediately and after that retired. I know that is what Dave C. wants, but if enough key people do it all his RIF plans go down the toilet
If I get to leave on my own I'm only giving one week.
Exactly, hit them where it hurts most. The only thing they care about, the stock price. Hopefully some folks that actually matter to project milestones leave without much notice at all.
Why should anyone give this company 2 weeks notice when they leave? You only get MINUTES to leave when Honeywell wants you to.
Job security?? at Honeywell??? There is no such thing. Dave will replace all of us at the drop of a hat!! Don't think for one second that Dave or Tim care one sh--ting sh-- about you or your family. All that matters is the stock price and their paychecks. Dump any HON stock now before it crashes and get out now while getting out is somewhat good.
I applied to 5 engineering jobs in my city this weekend, I hope they call back :D
After layoff, furlough, layoff, furlough in the past year, I (and a lot of people I work with) are getting very sick of Honeywell. I feel that there is no job security.
As soon as I find something Im leaving and won't give two weeks notice. HON doesnt give any notice so why should I? What's good for the goose is good for the gander, right Dave?
Everyone should be looking and beginning a new career elsewhere. That is the only thing that sends a strong enough message. Make sure schedules cannot be made. Shareholders will be good and pissed when contracts are lost.
Yup, this and all the policy's that don't let us help each other without a charge number. No investment in trying to make us better. I just hate it now.
My bags are packed :o)
