How can Intel transition from producing 80mm^2 cpus for $100 to 60mm^2 modems for $10?

ACT1 is just the beginning, ACT2 and ACT3 to come, do you have your life jacket?

Only way to protect product margins is split the company and have a product based one and TMG as stand alone and we know how efficient they are compared to Micron, Samsung or TSMC.

More cuts are all but assured, LOL

The larger question is the following:

With small factories and a process and methodology designed for very very high margin x86 selling for upwards of 100 bucks how will they compete with the huge Samsung and TSMC monster fabs and low cost commodity factories that sell and make money on the same node selling the same silicon area for less than 30 bucks?

HUGE LAYOFFS OF ANOTHER 30,000 AND COMPLETE CUTURAL AND STRUCTURE REORGANIZATION, LOL

Don't forget the modems are made by someone else too!
