What's in the works? Is this October be as bad as October last year? A RA in the works?

To all those RA IBMers out there, life exists outside of Big Blue. After three months, I found meaningful work where I'm appreciated. You too will find the same. Reapplying for work with some other IBM group will not shelter you from future RA activity. Don't waist your time. Life is too short. Work is challenging enough without having to look over your shoulder every quarter.
I'll tell you what will happen in October 2016... The same thing that happened in October 2015, October 2014, etc. There will be a RA, and then there will be a RA in November 2016, and January 2017, and in February, etc... There will be layoffs and layoffs after layoffs, all the way...

regarding applying for jobs within IBM after you've been identified as being on the RA list, I know from talking to several First Line Managers that when you apply,
there is a hidden field in BluePages that denotes you are being let go. Hence when I applied for 6 internal positions I never heard back from any of the hiring managers.
They would not return calls, emails or ST's. So if that doesn't make you feel targeted and expendable after years of service I don't know what would.
