Post ID: @Jga5wpV-3imm---you got that right! It's a big con game. The ones at the top are just squeezing every last dollar out of the company that they can. It doesn't matter to them if it all goes bust----they've got their golden parachutes.

Regarding other posts who think WFM may be bought/acquired: I doubt it! WFM is way past it's sell-by date. Who would want to buy it in the condition it's in. No, it's too late for that. But in true Enron spirit, the big shots will lie through their teeth and extol how well the company is doing and how bright the future is---meanwhile, behind the scenes, they're planning their exit strategy leaving team members and shareholders holding an empty bag

And then can't wait to Facebook it...these people were somewhat respected at one time but now have become laughing stock! I'm enjoying the lack of real leadership as it entertains my team member happiness!

LOL...It doesn't matter to the executives. You see, once you grab tens of millions out of the corporate treasury and shared those stacks with your co-conspirators in regional leadership and the board, it's all just a game to see how long you can keep the con going. When it ends, you're rich beyond belief. When they "go home" they can choose from a winter condo in Boca Raton, a spring and summer home in Aspen and an autumn loft in New York City.

If we no longer can go big then where exactly is home?

The only way this dumpster fire of a corporate implosion will be acquired is at a steep discount. The market is realizing that the bottom might be in the $10 range because we don't own....we RENT. All the debt is off the balance sheet due to suspicious accounting methods. So there's actually a crater size hole in the equity base. And we don't know jacck about logistics, our technology blows a big donkey wanker, and the execs are incompetent. Welcome to reality.

and The Fresh Market? Too many players now, needs to be some serious consolidation in this space. Problem with Whole Foods is that they are damaged goods now, the brand isn't worth nearly what it was before scale gate and all the other bad news of the past two years. Add to it that Whole Foods has basically sold its soul to Wall Street, and the premium on this company is all but gone. Add the billion in debt they took on to buy back stock and it lowers the price even more. They are dumbing down everything in the store, everything is "cheaper" now, from the plastic clear containers that cave in when you pick them up, spilling fluid out all over your hands to cheap plastic utensils that break when you stick them in anything...to the prepared foods and sandwiches that look more like something out of a Wawa than whole foods. They've added more conventional SKUs of the same organic product they already sell, I guess in an attempt to appeal to the "masses", but it's just more and more redundant product. I can go into my local conventional grocer now and see new things added every week....while whole foods crawls up into a ball and dies. Sad really, but the arrogance of management to not see this coming is astounding....and what do they do? Hire more big $$ executives while the stores without proper staffing sink into an abyss.

Wholefoods has been jealous of walmarts logistics and methods for years.i remember sitting in a town hall meeting years ago,sw region, and flash (just the grocery coordinator then) said " we needed to go big or go home".he also said we wanted to study walmart shipping logistics.this was back in like 2002.is it any wonder we picked up some target and walmart execs?? And for wal mart to buy is out might cause that anti trust uproar.but walmart would just make us convert to their methods.assimilate to the borg..

The only company that could afford to acquire WFM is Walmart, and they wouldn't do it because our business model and supply chains are way too different.

The entire grocery sector took a hit today. Sprouts also lowered their earnings projections. Overall the natural sector is slowing in growth.

We are going to be acquired or mergered! Either late 2016 or early 2017.
