Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

Please participate in the upcoming positive employee relations survey

This is not a joke! They want us to complete the PER survey. I'm gonna take a few hours typing out a manifesto telling them EXACTLY how I feel. I encourage everyone to do the same.

Don't fill it out. That says more than anything you put in there. Filling it out just gives them data to twist and turn. Low participation says a lot more and can't be molded to an agenda. What you put in there makes no difference anyway. See how they handle the apathy of a 30% participation...

Doesn't matter. Honeyhell is finished. Timmy and Dave have driven this company into the ground and despite what the survey results are or arent, everyone is going to get laid off at some point so why does anyone bother with any of it anymore? Why bother even working there. Get your resumes out there and leave because that's what Dave and tim want. Let's give them what they want. Why fight it?

F--- them who cares. All of are getting f---ed abd laid off at the same time. Who cares if they send investigators? Every minute I spend with an investigator is less time for something to get shipped so I'll make an entire day of it. Send the bobs down to interview everyone, just a big waste of time; just like working at honeyhell.

If you like your local leadership then you need to give positive PER results. If your site disparages executive leadership/Phoenix/Corporate then off site help will descend and correct the situation. The PER does not care about how employees feel about Phoenix or Honeywell Corp. The PER measures the likelihood of Unions entering a site. It does no good to hammer away at Phoenix or Corp. You are wasting your time and attracting unwanted attention. Local leadership will be blamed. If everyone complains about local leadership something may happen or at least an investigation will ensue. The investigators are not very pleasant people to be around.

The one time I said something negative (normally I zip it) and suddenly I am pulled into a focus group. Also, it somehow knew I already took the survey when I mistakenly went back in a week later thinking I didn't submit it or something because I kept getting emails. Beware.

Ever notice that these surveys NEVER ask what you think about Aerospace or Corporate management? They only ask about your local management, and I think that ours does a very nice job, giving the constraints their under. Our management was rated pretty high on the last one.

I was invited to be part of a recent PER survey dicsussion meeting and I pointed this out this gaff about no questions concerning Aerospace or Corporate management. I pointed out that the results would be VERY different if asked about the big shots!

Lat year our site leader challenged us to have 100% participation on the PER and he would by us a popcorn machine. The number were fudged and we now have popcorn on Fridays! Yippee! No pay increase, many furloughs and RIFs, but at least we have our beloved popcorn!

I agree with what everyone has said here. Just look at the last one they sent out. We had multiple emails prodding us to meet the response target, but no follow-up on the content of those responses. I refuse to fill out another one. They only care about the quantity of responses, not the content.

It will result in more Food Trucks, don't fall for it.

F - -k them. Don't fill it out. They claim anonymity but don't believe it. No one gives a s - - t how you respond only they get a check off on their goals. And oh yes, honest negative feed back gets traced back and all of a sudden you go from 2 block to 6 block with no warning and end up on a PIP. Better to not respond at all.

We would get more attention to the PER survey if we all choose not to fill it out. They only care about the % of participation and not what the survey is telling them.

A waste of time and paper. It only goes in the shedder anyway.

The PER survey is yet another meaningless metric that makes for yet another meaningless chart on the wall that allows for a few minutes of meaningless leadership discussion. It then dies a slow agonizing death as the paper yellows and curls and whithers until finally it's discarded, not unlike the surveyed employees.

I like the why bother response someone posted, sums it up nicely.

why bother, they really seem to get miffed when there is no reply.

Been doing this for years. It's very cathartic, but routinely ignored by HR.
